The highlight of Reborn is the incorporation of bookcases in the shape of hot air balloons and cloud chandeliers. These whimsical additions allow children to grow up in an environment that sparks their creativity and encourages imaginative play.
One of the standout features of Reborn is the sofa wall, which is furnished with tiles and wooden grilles. This design choice not only adds visual appeal but also opens up the mind and creates a sense of spaciousness. The TV wall, adorned with marbles and wooden coating, bathes in natural daylight, exuding a grandeur quality that adds a touch of nobility to the indoor space.
The realization of Reborn involved the use of mirror surfaces and curved bends in the walls to shift the focus away from unavoidable pillars. This clever design technique creates a sense of continuity and enhances the overall aesthetic appeal. The open kitchen not only adds spatial depth but also directs light from the rear balcony, creating a bright and inviting atmosphere. The dining area features a distinctive fishbone wall, resembling an artistic painting and adding a unique touch to the space.
Reborn spans an area of 98 square meters, making the most of the available space to create a functional and visually appealing environment. Each family member has their own bedroom, designed based on their personal preferences. The children's room, in particular, is a creative and fun space, while the piano room is adorned with tree branch bookshelves that match the color of the piano.
Overcoming the challenges posed by the long and narrow layout of the apartment, Reborn integrates the flow and corridor to connect the living room and dining room. This integration maximizes the dimensions of the public space, providing ample room for family activities. The project was completed in July 2018 in Taipei, Taiwan.
Reborn has been recognized for its exceptional design and was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2019. This prestigious award is given to well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements. Reborn stands out for its integration of industry best practices, competent technical characteristics, and its ability to provide fulfillment and positive feelings, contributing to a better world.
